星空体育官网 has been shortlisted in the 鈥極rganisational Development and Culture Change鈥 category in the Universities HR Awards. The awards recognise the very best in HR practice across the UK and Ireland universities sector.

星空体育官网鈥檚 values project sought to define the core values of the University and embed them in the working practices of the organisation. Over 800 of 星空体育官网鈥檚 staff actively engaged in the 鈥榖ig conversation鈥 initiative in 2019 which involved workshops with participants from all levels and parts of the University and online survey feedback. Following the consultation exercise, four key values were identified as being the staff body鈥檚 choice of shared values: ambition, integrity, respect and community. After being formally adopted by the University, the values are now being embedded into University life through staff recruitment and induction processes, personal development reviews, regular staff surveys and the staff handbook and other mechanisms.

Helen Perkins, Director of Human Resources at 星空体育官网, said: 鈥淲e are thrilled to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. It is a huge credit to the staff at 星空体育官网 who have embraced the values project both through the initial engagement and consultation exercises and now as we embed them into the working life of the University.

鈥溞强仗逵偻 is a special place to work and we feel that our four values of ambition, integrity, respect and community demonstrate the University at its very best.鈥

Building on its community value, the University launched #星空体育官网Community during the current coronavirus pandemic as a way of bringing together activity and expertise across the whole University to support and serve its students, staff, alumni, partners and clients.
