Managing inventory and forecasting demand is critical to the business's success; however, they often come with significant challenges. This consultancy project with Macmillan Education explored ways to improve inventory forecasting by leveraging ERP functionalities and advanced data analytics (AI) capabilities.

The project evaluated commercial AI tools suitability for optimising forecasting, print planning, and distribution. The final report outlined a roadmap for implementing identified AI software in their existing ERP system to streamline the processes. The recommendations provided are expected to improve decision-making, reduce operational costs, and enhance customer satisfaction for Macmillan Education.
